Terms of Service — JobCheck

By using JobCheck (the "Service"), whether directly or through Meta's Muse, you agree to these terms.

What the Service does

JobCheck checks a job's pricing — arithmetic, missing cost categories, a margin below floor, and a comparison against your own past similar jobs — using only numbers you paste directly into the conversation. The house line: JobCheck checks; you decide.

What the Service is not

  • Not a quoting tool. JobCheck never drafts, sends, or changes an actual quote. Itemize does that — JobCheck only checks numbers you give it and hands back a draft for you to review.

  • Not connected to Itemize's stored quotes. JobCheck has no read access to any quote you've drafted elsewhere. Paste the numbers directly for each job you want checked.

  • Not a guarantee of profitability. JobCheck recomputes arithmetic against numbers you supply and flags what's below your own stated target — it doesn't know your real costs beyond what you tell it, and it never invents a figure you didn't give it.

Your account and content

  • You must provide accurate information when you sign up, and you're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure.

  • You're responsible for the accuracy of the job numbers you paste — JobCheck checks what you give it, not what a job actually cost.

  • Every correction JobCheck returns is advice. You decide what, if anything, to send, and you send it yourself through Itemize or any other means.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

  • Attempt to access another user's account or check records.

  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.

  • Use automated means to submit checks in bulk or extract data beyond normal use through Muse.

Fees

Checking a job's pricing is free, always, and unlimited — a pass/review verdict, your margin percentage, and which flag categories were found. Pro is $5/mo, no trial, no annual option — the full line-by-line correction, the corrected total and margin, and a corrected draft. Pro is billed by Stripe at an external checkout page; JobCheck never handles your card details, and you can manage or cancel your subscription through Stripe's own customer portal at any time. No feature outside this list is paywalled.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service running reliably but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, and rarely, the Service may be unavailable without advance notice.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, misuse, or abuse of the Service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ava Research LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages related to a pricing decision you make based on JobCheck's output. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
