Terms of Service — Itemize

By using Itemize (the "Service"), whether directly or through Meta's Muse, you agree to these terms.

What the Service does

Itemize turns a pasted job description into a structured quote draft: line items, totals, terms, and an expiry date. It's a drafting tool — every price traces back to something your own text stated.

What the Service is not

  • Not a pricing or estimating tool. Itemize never suggests, estimates, or guesses what a job should cost. It only reflects what you already told it.

  • Not a sending or scheduling tool. Itemize never sends a quote to a customer, on a schedule or otherwise. You review and send every quote yourself, outside the Service.

  • Not a guarantee of winning the job or being paid. A quote drafted by Itemize accurately reflects what you stated — it does not guarantee a customer accepts it, a price gets approved, or any other outcome.

  • Not an estimating-software integration. The Service works entirely from pasted text; it does not read from or write to any third-party estimating tool.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when you sign up.

  • You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.

  • You may only use the Service for your own business or one you're authorized to represent.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

  • Attempt to access another user's data or account.

  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.

  • Use automated means to extract data from the Service beyond normal use through Muse or the Service's own interface.

  • Present a quote drafted by Itemize as independently verified pricing, appraisal, or professional estimating advice.

Fees

The Service is free. If we introduce a paid tier in the future, we'll clearly disclose pricing before you're charged, and any billing will happen through Ava Research LLC's own site, never through Meta.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service running reliably but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service runs on scale-to-zero infrastructure, so the first call after a period of inactivity may take longer to respond. We may perform maintenance, and rarely, the Service may be unavailable without advance notice.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, misuse, or abuse of the Service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ava Research LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages related to a rejected quote, an inaccurate job description you provided, or a pricing decision you made based on a draft. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
