Terms of Service — Due

By using Due (the "Service"), whether directly or through Meta's Muse, you agree to these terms.

What the Service does

Due turns pasted or forwarded invoice text into a tracked, aged record, and drafts a tone-ladder follow-up message for the owner to review and send. It's a drafting and tracking tool.

What the Service is not

  • Not a sending tool. Due never sends, schedules, or auto-sends a message. You review and send every follow-up yourself, outside the Service.

  • Not a collections agency. Due never refers an account to collections, threatens legal action, or computes a late fee beyond what the invoice itself states.

  • Not a payment processor. Due doesn't collect or process payment of any invoice in this version, and never guarantees payment of one.

  • Not an accounting-software integration. The Service works entirely from pasted text; it does not read from or write to any third-party accounting or invoicing tool.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when you sign up.

  • You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.

  • You may only use the Service for your own business or one you're authorized to represent.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

  • Attempt to access another user's data or account.

  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.

  • Use automated means to extract data from the Service beyond normal use through Muse or the Service's own interface.

  • Use a drafted follow-up to threaten, harass, or state a consequence you haven't actually described yourself.

Fees

The Service is free. If we introduce a paid tier in the future, we'll clearly disclose pricing before you're charged, and any billing will happen through Ava Research LLC's own site, never through Meta.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service running reliably but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service runs on scale-to-zero infrastructure, so the first call after a period of inactivity may take longer to respond. We may perform maintenance, and rarely, the Service may be unavailable without advance notice.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, misuse, or abuse of the Service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ava Research LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages related to an unpaid invoice, a follow-up message you chose to send, or an inaccurate invoice you provided. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
